Ath, Belgium, the City of Giants, is famous for its annual Parade of Giants. Every year, Goliath – whose name is pronounced ‘Gouyasse’ in the local dialect – leads the parade. The Brasserie des Géants (Giants’ Brewery), in Ath, didn’t think long before naming its first brew ‘Gouyasse.’ Gouyasse is a golden Belgian ale, and a nice one, at 6% alcohol by volume.

Best With:
Generally speaking, Belgian ale is a gastronomic miracle. The delicate spicy and fruity nature of these ales, accentuated by the distinctive Belgian yeast strains, pairs beautifully with lamb, mussels, and semi-soft cheeses such as gouda, havarti, and tilsit.

Belgian Style Triple Ale

Long cold days bring us back home. Now is the season to move slowly and embrace early evenings with friends and family close.

You hold a triple to sip away the chill. Be certain to drink this ale slowly. Our Belgian style triple ale has an original gravity of 20? Plato and boasts a heady bouquet to balance the 28 I.B.Us of East Kent Golding and Saaz hops. The finish will linger with warm honey notes on your palette. Enjoy its pale golden color reminiscent of our summer sun.

Because one thing is certain about winter in Wisconsin; this too shall pass.

Our Summer seasonal, Trade Winds Tripel is a Belgian-style Golden Ale with a Southeast Asian twist. Instead of using candi sugar (typical for such a beer), we use rice in the mash to lighten the body and increase the gravity, and spice with Thai Basil. The result is an aromatic, digestible and complex beer made for a lazy summer evening.
